Terms of Use

The short version

Sayward is a private journaling and conversation-preparation tool. It helps you write down the week, find your own words, and prepare to reflect on your own or meet with a partner in person. By using Sayward you agree to use it in good faith and to the terms below.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login safe. One subscription covers your account and, when paired, both partners. You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Deletion removes your account and private or authored content. Joint meeting and agreement receipts may remain available to another original participant. A non-content trial receipt and keyed one-way code derived from the normalized email remain so deleting and registering again with that email does not reset the two included uses.

Adults only

You must be at least 18 years old to create or use a Sayward account. Sayward is not designed for children or teenagers.

Subscriptions & trial

Your first two completed meetings or solo reflections are included for up to 21 days. No card is required. Opening alone does not count; the meeting or reflection must be completed. After that, continued access may require a subscription, which covers the account and, when paired, both partners. Current purchase terms are shown before you subscribe. Subscriptions are purchased through Apple's App Store or Google Play and renew until cancelled. You can cancel anytime in the store where you subscribed; access continues through the period you've paid for.

What Sayward is not

Sayward is not therapy, medical advice, diagnosis, relationship or mental-health assessment, monitoring, or a crisis service. It does not contact emergency services or another person for you. AI drafts can be incomplete or wrong; the AI cannot know what either partner thinks, infer a partner's state, decide who is right, or determine whether a relationship is safe. If you need urgent help, use real-time local emergency or crisis support.

Acceptable use

Use Sayward only for your own account and relationships. Don't attempt to access another person's data, reverse-engineer the service, or use it to harass or harm anyone.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product grows. Material changes will be surfaced in the app. Continuing to use Sayward after a change means you accept it.
